I don't look in the mirror
I don't look in the mirror,
I'm afraid of what I'll see.
Scars of life are deeply etched
in the face I know as me.
It's not that I am ugly
but the life I've led was hard.
By sweat and tears I've journeyed
a road only a few would choose.
When the challenges were issued
I asked what is there to lose?
I know by now you're wondering
what kind of nut am I,
but friend, I want to tell you,
I'm just an ordinary older guy,
who lived life the way I chose.

This is just one of many poems I have penned. Perhaps the managers can make a poetry page for those of us who write... bear
